SAR of the SOUTH: October 27-28, 2018
Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR): Breaking Biases
Sex and the South? Breaking biases and the taboos around sex and sexuality, this unique SAR (Sexual Attitude Reassessment and Restructuring) experience has been designed to push through cultural, religious, and social influences on our sexuality. This SAR will be led by two knowledgeable sexuality professionals, Aleece Fosnight and Todd Malloy.
A SAR is a highly provocative, experiential, cognitive and affective experience that is designed to push comfort levels, elicit feelings and confront attitudes, beliefs and values about sexuality. Teaching methods encompass media (including film, television, audio, and art) along with presentations, panels of speakers, and live demonstrations showing the potential range of human sexual expression today.
Topics will be revealed at the training itself as the element of surprise and psychological state of non-expectation encompass the basis of this course. No nudity or touch is ever required of participants. Small group process drives the understanding and impact of the elements of the presentation in this course. The SAR is not a clinical training in sex therapy/counseling/education. Rather it enables the participant to move emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and psychologically into a zone of greater knowing, acceptance, and tolerance of human sexuality in all its possible dimensions.
